Benefits of a Cloud-Based Solution

A cloud-based (or SaaS) EDI solution is scalable, more accessible, has less downtime, is more secure, and enables cost-predictability.

Not sold yet? These factors are some of the most important when it comes to picking an EDI solution. And, let’s face it, these are key elements to simplifying and digitalizing your entire supply chain.

In the US, for example, more and more customers are now choosing cloud-based EDI solutions like our FLOW Partner Automation Platform. Why? Because cloud-based solutions enable these customers to easily transform day-to-day document exchange operations within their supply chain.

Solutions like FLOW allow for faster payments, fewer errors, and the ability to access data from anywhere, not only from one central location.

Next-Generation EDI

Electronic document exchange is not going anywhere. In fact, it’s now the norm - and if you aren’t utilizing it yet, you’re already behind. At TIE Kinetix, we’re focused on providing the latest technology in order to ensure that our customers are not only meeting the expectations of their trading partners, but rather exceeding the bare minimum.

Not only does this help our customers stand out among their competitors, but it also simplifies their business processes in the long run.

As we all know, EDI has been around for a while, but it’s no different than any other technology – there have been certain developments that have changed the way it works.

Unfortunately, this means that there are still some EDI users who are not taking advantage of the best developments. That’s where we come in.

Microsoft Dynamics and TIE Kinetix

At TIE Kinetix, Microsoft Dynamics 365 users can simplify their EDI implementation with a fully integrated, out-of-the-box solution that runs fully in the Azure cloud. Not only does this provide customers with the knowledge that their data is secure and accessible, but it also ensures that the solution is fully integrated with their ERP, which makes their day-to-day operations run much smoother.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 users and their trading partners who utilize our FLOW Partner Automation platform are therefore provided with the utmost security, fewer opportunities for human error, and a more accessible document exchange process.

We see our FLOW customers as users who have not only chosen a new solution but have upgraded their EDI – because they are now using the newest technology.

EDI for Manufacturers

For manufacturers, having a secure and reliable EDI solution is essential to operating a successful business. Customers who choose a cloud-based, integrated solution with TIE Kinetix (such as EDI-2-FLOW that’s fully integrated with their Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment) are choosing to optimize their document exchange process and enable them to achieve a fully digital supply chain.

Alongside our partners, we provide a team of industry experts who can provide these customers with all the information and assistance they need.

The Future of EDI

There is no B2G mandate in the U.S., unlike Europe, APAC, and other regions globally. However, the U.S. Federal Reserve and the Business Payments Coalition (BPC) are working on an e-invoice exchange framework that is planned to go live in January 2023. Many banks in the U.S., as well as large buying organizations, are supporting the efforts. As for the implementation of an official B2G mandate in the U.S., only time will tell.

As these guidelines change, TIE Kinetix remains informed and involved. Stay in touch with us to see how the developments within the US affect how we provide the best solutions for our customers.
